Teacher Training / Certification
Structured training programme for future classical Pilates instructors.
ApplyWho this programme is for
- Dedicated practitioners ready to turn their passion for classical Pilates into a professional career
- Movement professionals (physiotherapists, dancers, and yoga teachers) who want to add classical Pilates to their skill set
- Career-changers seeking a meaningful, body-centred profession with long-term potential
- Clients with a strong personal practice who want to share the method with others or deepen their personal understanding
Who this programme is not for
- People without an established personal Pilates practice — the programme builds on an existing movement foundation
- Anyone looking for a quick weekend certification — this is a 600+ hour professional commitment
- People who cannot commit to the full programme schedule, including in-person sessions, observation hours, and supervised teaching
- People seeking modern or fitness-only Pilates credentials — this programme teaches the original classical method exclusively — classical Pilates is here to stay. It has been for about a century.
Our Approach
At Katie Kollar Pilates, we believe becoming a Pilates teacher isn't about memorising exercises or fitting into a mould. It's about trusting your intuition, leading with your heart, and developing your own voice as a teacher. Many training programmes fall into two extremes: they either drill exercises into you like a factory line, or they reinvent the system until it loses its soul. We do neither.
This programme follows the traditional apprenticeship model: no manuals, no shortcuts. Learning happens through consistent observation, self-practice, teaching, and personal corrections — just as Joseph Pilates intended.
Our Philosophy
- Rooted in Classical: We honour the original brilliance of Joseph Pilates' work.
- Heart-Centred: We teach you to listen — to your body, your clients, and your intuition.
- Individually Guided: This is not a cookie-cutter programme. Your unique path matters here.
- Alive, Not Scripted: Your teaching will come from true understanding, not memorisation.
This programme is designed for dedicated students who want to truly embody the Pilates method — not just learn it from a book. Graduates will be prepared to teach the full classical Pilates system with depth, precision, and confidence.
